Weaving in the classroom is great fun! In a 90-120 minute session, students will have a brief lesson on the history of basket weaving, consider many meaningful life lessons, and weave a basket that they can cherish using natural and dyed round reed. Even though all students begin the same way, no two baskets are the same. Their stories and individualities shine through.
Kindergarten through third graders begin with a wooden base. Fourth and fifth graders begin with woven base starts. Middle and high school students weave the entire basket.
Cost per basket: $9 for groups of 15 or more students. $10 for groups 14 or less.
This includes supplies and instruction.
